What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is a type of complementary healing modality using hands-on and energy-based techniques to balance and align the human energy field. Body, mind, emotion and spirit are touched through this therapeutic process, and each individual is empowered to participate fully in his or her healing journey.
Healing Touch is an energy-based therapeutic approach to healing that originated through the American Holistic Nurse's Association in 1989 as a complementary health care program. Healing Touch practitioners complete a standardized, rigorous certification process, which is administered by Healing Touch International.
How Does Healing Touch Occur?
All healing is basically self-healing. A physician can set two bone fragments in place, but the body itself finally heals the split - The physician simply directs and facilitates the process. Healing Touch is a different and often complementary mode of facilitating the healing process, but functions from an energy perspective rather than only a physical one. The Healing Touch Practitioner realigns the energy flow, re-activating the mind/body/spirit connection to eliminate blockages to self healing.

Anyone! Healing Touch is a technique that anyone can learn. Janna teaches Healing Touch Levels 1, 2 and 3 (see Classes). Level 1 serves as a prerequisite for other HT and advanced practice courses.
